Foster

ELAF is a foster-based rescue organization, meaning we do not have an actual building where we house our animals. Instead, we depend on foster-families to welcome our dogs into their homes as members of their family until the perfect forever-family is found. As a foster family for ELAF, while you care for the animal, we pay the bills for food and veterinary care until adoption. Without fosters, we have no ability to continue taking dogs into our rescue, which means more dogs die never having known love, kindness, and safety. If you’ve been looking for a way to become more involved with helping homeless dogs, and to give back to the world, here it is! Foster families are truly the ‘heroes’ of animal rescue!
